Bake-Off?! It’s not what you think folks! We’re more interested in cookies – the HTTP kind – than cupcakes! Techopedia defines a “Bake-Off as a competition among a group of people that all share a common goal.
Announced today, the ‘2013 SmartFile Platform Bake-Off’ is a first-of-its kind programming and design contest offering $17,000 in CASH prizes to student competitors from Indiana colleges. Geared to drive awareness for both open source development and the entrepreneurial possibilities around SmartFile’s robust-API, the Bake-Off also promotes collaboration between Indiana businesses and statewide academia.
SmartFile challenges students to put their collaborative and creative technical skills to work when developing apps that are certain to provide real-business value. 50, two-person teams will compete for 50 days, but only three will walk away with the glory and green! With some of Indiana’s top business minds on the judging panel, SmartFile is providing the perfect ingredients for a new-fashioned Bake-Off — cash, coding, college kids, competition, and a tech battleground!
