SmartFile now supports WebDAV connections! Connect to your SmartFile account through your native file browser (explorer, finder, etc.) for easier access to all your files and folders. This post will go over how to connect to WebDAV via Windows and Mac. Let’s get started!

To connect to WebDAV please use the following:

Server: https://app.smartfile.com/webdav
Login: Your SmartFile username and password

*Note: Web browser access is not supported.

How to Connect to WebDAV Servers Using:

Windows

Open the Start Menu
Right click on “Computer” or “My Computer”
Select “Map Network Drive”
Enter “https://app.smartfile.com/webdav” for the WebDAV server and click “Finish”
Enter your SmartFile username and password and connect

Macintosh

Open Finder
Click the “Go” menu, choose “Connect to Server”
Enter “https://app.smartfile.com/webdav” for the WebDAV server and click “Connect”
Enter your SmartFile username and password and connect

Troubleshooting

Cannot download more than 50 MB
Error 0x800700DF: The file size exceeds the limit allowed and cannot be saved
Cannot upload large Files when the upload takes longer than 30 minutes using Web Client in Windows 7.
