Our “openness” starts with our open source projections.  We have dozens of open source projects that we contribute to or manage.  Without the help and contributions of the open source community we would not have been able to move as quickly as we have.  It would have taken a lot more start-up capital and resources to develop everything it takes to make SmartFile tick.

We are taking our openness one step further by sharing our ideas, successes, and even our failures to anyone that will listen.  We believe that this philosophy not only resonates with our constituents, but also our team.   We will continue to add blog posts about how we do business and some really cool projects we are working on.

To ensure that this conversation is not just us talking about us, we have added a new feedback section (in our new site) to allow our users to request and vote on features.  This will be our compass as we press forward with product development.

If that wasn’t enough, we have also added a status section (in our new site) to show you exactly what our servers and systems are doing.  You can view real-time reports on system uptime, and yes, even downtime.

Look for more to come as we continue to grow, learn, and do our part to make the world a better place.
