We’d like to introduce our brand spankin’ new Internet Marketing Manager and fantastic addition to our SmartFile team: Kevin O’Keefe. Kevin is now in charge of overseeing the design and production of our website, supervising our marketing programs, and just being plain awesome. So, with that said, I decided to take it upon myself to ask him a few questions to help us get to know him a little better…
So, Kevin, what are you the most excited about as a new member of the team?
I’m excited to grow with the company and see how far we can all go as a team. I’m excited to interact with the amazingly talented people already onboard and will try to learn as much as I can from them. I’m also excited to be apart of something so great at such an early stage. Everyday is something new and unexpected that keeps everything fresh and exciting!
What do you expect from your experience here at SmartFile?
I expect to learn a lot in a short amount of time…learn, absorb, observe, grow and learn more. I expect to learn a lot more about growing a company’s brand, managing that brand and leveraging the message into more sales and growth. I expect to learn more about how to adapt to a fast-paced growing company that expects results immediately. I expect to become an expert on the topic of the FTP/file sharing industry and SmartFile’s technology. I expect hard work and success from myself, my teammates, and SmartFile as a company. I have a lot of expectations, but I know that great things are in the future for this company and everyone involved!
Give me three fun facts. And, they had better be good.
- Well, I’ve been to over 60 concerts (and counting), all different kinds of music. My newest obsession is to buy limited edition concert posters at the shows…my home office walls are covered in awesome concert art.
- I bought my first house without looking at it! My wife (fiancé at the time) and I were living in another city and we were in the process of looking for a house in Indy. One day a perfect listing popped up and I couldn’t travel that day so my wife drove down, looked at the house and said we should buy it. I somehow agreed without seeing it and before we knew it the offer was accepted. Thankfully we still live in the house and everything is great!
- I cannot turn down a breaded tenderloin sandwich at any restaurant. Only if I’ve actually tried it before at the restaurant will I even consider not ordering it. It’s a dangerous habit, but delicious at the same time.
